Terms and conditions for registration

The University of South Africa, nor their employees, agents, officers or any conference volunteers, will not be held liable or responsible for

  • Any loss, damage or injury caused to any person or property of any person whilst participating in or attending the International Sudan Studies Conference
  • Refusal of admission
  • Any changes in programme content, speakers, location or cancellation of any programmes or functions of which the conference organisers, reserve the right to do

Substitution/Cancellation Policy

  • Substitutes are accepted at any time until three weeks before the conference
  • Cancellations will not be refunded

Booking Agreements


All Booking agreements shall be subject to these terms. The delegate accepts that his/her signature on the agreement constitutes a binding contract with UNISA Centre of African Renaissance Studies (CARS). All intellectual property rights in all materials produced or distributed by CARS in connection with the events remains the property of CARS.

Payment Terms


Following the return of the booking agreement full payment will be required within 10 days from invoice unless otherwise stipulated and agreed to in writing by CARS.

Disclaimer


Whilst every reasonable effort will be made to adhere to the advertised event UNISA CARS reserves the right to change conference dates, omit event features and content or merge the event with other events, as it deems necessary, without penalty. In such an event, no refunds, part refunds or alternative offers shall be made. If for any UNISA CARS cancels the event (including but not limited to any force majeure occurrence) and provided the event is not postponed to a later date or merged with another event, the delegate will receive a full refund.

Cancellations Policy

Substitutes are accepted at any time until four weeks before the conference.

All bookings carry a 50% cancellation liability immediately after the signed (Or electronically submitted) booking form is received by UNISA CARS. Cancellations need to be received not later than 6 weeks before the event to qualify for the 50% refund. If the cancellation is made less than 6 weeks prior to the event the full fee becomes payable.
